10.1.2007 - Xtreme Programming Group expands R&D center, leasing additional office space in Guangzhou, China
Xtreme Programming Group has leased additional office space at prime real estate location Dong Shan district.
The company now occupies two floors on a 30-story skyscraper (the Hua-Sheng Building) on Xian Lie Zhong Road. Building on the success with it's growing list of customers from the US and China, and taking advantage of the shift in software outsourcing from the rest of the world to China, the XPG has aggressively grown it's consulting staff and R&D center footprint.
According to XPG founder Liu Yan, "Recruiting software development and management talent has been our number one emphasis ever since XPG was founded in 2005, and we have been so successful in growing our team and our business that we have had to double our office space every 6-months."
The new office space will be shared among additional software developers and testers, and a newly established creative team consists of graphic designers and user interface designers.
9.15.2007 - Xtreme Programming Group introduces Open Source Selenium as part of its Testing Automation technology, expands QA service offerings
Xtreme Programming Group continues to embrace the Open Source movement. After making significant open source contributions to the DOJO AJAX framework in 2006, the company demonstrates Open Source leadership in China by making significant enhancements to the popular Selenium automated testing framework.
The company has selectively applied the enhanced version of Selenium to its testing service clients.
"A lot of developers have complained in various forums and discussion boards about Selenium's slow speed, which reduces the effectiveness of testing automation. We have spend a lot of energy in collecting best practices and making code enhancements to the open source package. So far we have seen very encouraging performance enhancements in our trial-run with some of our clients. These enhancements will be given back to the open source community after our vigorous internal certification process," said Basil He, XPG's Senior Software Architect.

Xtreme Programming Group announces that it has reached an agreement with US-based Breference.com to continue their software development relationship. Breference.com is an Internet infrastructure company that builds content distribution and caching service.
